Job summary

Build Recruitment is partnering with a well-established Housing Association in Bedfordshire to recruit an experienced Multi-Trader for their responsive repairs team on a permanent basis. You will perform responsive repairs and maintenance across social housing properties, with emphasis on void properties and bringing homes up to lettable standards.

This role offers long-term security, full-time hours, and a company van with a fuel card as part of a stable workload within the social housing

Qualifications

• Previous experience in responsive property maintenance
• Experience working on void properties
• Social housing, housing association or council experience is desirable
• A strong core trade, such as carpentry, plumbing, plastering or decorating
• Ability to complete a variety of general maintenance and repair tasks
• Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Ability to work independently and manage workload
• Good understanding of health & safety
• Full UK Driving Licence

Responsibilities

• Carrying out responsive repairs and maintenance across social housing properties
• Completing a range of works within void properties prior to re-let
• Carpentry and joinery repairs
• Installing and repairing doors, frames, skirting boards and architraves
• Repairing windows and minor joinery
• Carrying out basic plumbing repairs
• Completing patch plastering and making good
• Painting and decorating
• Identifying additional works and defects requiring attention
• Bringing properties up to a high lettable standard
• Working to agreed programmes and handover deadlines
• Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and health & safety

Salary: Up to £36,000 per annum

THE OPPORTUNITY

Build Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-established Housing Association in Bedfordshire to recruit an experienced Multi-Trader to join their responsive repairs team on a permanent basis.

The role involves carrying out responsive maintenance and repair works across social housing properties, with a particular focus on void properties. You will complete a variety of repairs and remedial works to bring empty homes up to a high lettable standard before they are re-let.
