Job summary

Winner Recruitment is seeking an experienced Multi Trader for voids repairs and maintenance in social housing settings. You will handle day-to-day repairs across occupied and void properties, delivering high-quality workmanship.

The role requires strong all-round trade skills, a full UK driving licence, and the ability to work independently. Own tools are preferred, and you will report progress via PDA/tablet systems while ensuring safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven Multi Trader experience in social housing, repairs or maintenance.
• Strong all-round trade skills with a core trade background.
• Experience working in occupied properties.
• Good problem solving and customer-facing skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Own tools preferred (if not provided).

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day responsive repairs and planned maintenance.
• Work across occupied and void social housing properties.
• Perform multi-trade tasks such as carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling and painting.
• Ensure works are completed to a high standard within timescales.
• Provide excellent customer service to tenants and clients.
• Accurately complete job sheets and report works via PDA/tablet systems.
• Maintain health and safety standards at all times.

Multi Trader - Voids Repairs & Maintenance

Location: Birmingham, north and south
Job Type: Full-Time | Permenant

Our client, a leading contractor within the social housing sector, is currently looking to recruit an experienced Multi Trader to join their growing repairs and maintenance team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and reliable tradesperson with experience working within occupied and void social housing properties, delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance works while providing excellent customer service to tenants and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out day-to-day responsive repairs and planned maintenance works
• Working across occupied and void social housing properties
• Completing a variety of multi-trade tasks including:
• Carpentry
• Basic plumbing
• Patch plastering
• Tiling repairs
• Painting & decorating touch-ups
• Lock changes/repairs
• General property maintenance
• Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently to a high standard
• Ensuring all works are completed within agreed timescales
• Delivering excellent customer service when working in tenants' homes
• Accurately completing job sheets and reporting works via PDA/tablet systems
• Maintaining health & safety standards at all times

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Multi Trader within social housing, repairs, or maintenance
• Strong all-round trade skills with a core trade background preferred
• Experience working in occupied properties
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independentlyGood communication and customer-facing skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Own tools (preferred unless otherwise supplied)

Desirable

• Relevant NVQ/City & Guilds qualification
• Experience using PDA systems for job management
• Social housing or local authority contractor experience
