Skilled Careers is seeking an experienced Multi Trader to join a leading Housing Association across Bedfordshire on a permanent basis. You will perform responsive repairs, maintenance and refurbishment across occupied and void social housing properties, delivering a high standard of workmanship.

The role requires carpentry, plumbing, plastering and tiling skills, with reliable daily workload management and strong customer service when working in tenants' homes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Multi Trader within domestic repairs, maintenance or refurbishment.
• Strong practical skills across multiple property maintenance trades.
• Experience working within social housing is highly desirable.
• Good knowledge of responsive repairs and maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and manage a daily workload effectively.
• High standards of workmanship and attention to detail.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out responsive repairs and maintenance across social housing properties in Bedfordshire.
• Complete a variety of multi-trade works within tenants' homes and communal areas.
• Undertake carpentry and joinery repairs, including doors, frames, skirting, architraves, flooring and kitchen units.
• Carry out basic plumbing repairs, including taps, sinks, toilets, leaks and minor pipework.
• Complete minor plastering, patch repairs and making-good works.
• Undertake tiling, decorating and other general property maintenance tasks.
• Repair and replace kitchen units, worktops, doors and fittings.
• Carry out repairs to bathrooms, fixtures and fittings.

Multi Trader - Bedfordshire - Up to £36,000 + Excellent Benefits

Multi Trader required for a leading Housing Association in Bedfordshire. This is a fantastic permanent opportunity for an experienced Multi Trader looking for long-term stability, excellent benefits and the opportunity to work across a well-established social housing contract.

The Role

As a Multi Trader working across Bedfordshire, you'll be responsible for carrying out a wide range of responsive repairs, maintenance and refurbishment works across occupied and void social housing properties.

Key responsibilities include

• Carrying out responsive repairs and maintenance across social housing properties in Bedfordshire.
• Completing a variety of multi-trade works within tenants' homes and communal areas.
• Undertaking carpentry and joinery repairs, including doors, frames, skirting, architraves, flooring and kitchen units.
• Carrying out basic plumbing repairs, including taps, sinks, toilets, leaks and minor pipework.
• Completing minor plastering, patch repairs and making-good works.
• Undertaking tiling, decorating and other general property maintenance tasks.
• Repairing and replacing kitchen units, worktops, doors and associated fittings.
• Carrying out repairs to bathrooms, fixtures and fittings.
• Responding to emergency and urgent repair requests where required.
• Making properties safe, secure and habitable following damage, leaks or other reported defects.
• Working in both occupied and void properties to a high standard.
• Identifying additional defects and reporting any follow-on works required.
• Providing a professional and respectful service to tenants while working in their homes.
• Completing all works within agreed timescales and maintaining accurate job records.

Skills & Qualifications

To be successful in this Multi Trader role in Bedfordshire, you'll need:

• Proven experience as a Multi Trader within domestic repairs, maintenance or refurbishment.
• Strong practical skills across multiple property maintenance trades.
• Experience working within social housing is highly desirable.
• Good knowledge of responsive repairs and maintenance.

• Full UK Driving Licence and the ability to travel across Bedfordshire.
