Job summary

Ian Williams Ltd invites applications for a Multi-Trade Team Leader (Working Foreperson) to lead from the front on void refurbishment work in Exmouth. You will supervise on-site operatives, drive quality, safety and timely delivery, and collaborate with the Contracts Manager to overcome on-site challenges.

The role requires you to lead by example, maintain welfare and safety checks, and bring a current UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Qualified to a minimum NVQ 2 level or equivalent in a core trade would be beneficial.
• SSSTS qualification would be advantageous but not essential
• Sound knowledge of construction processes
• The ability to ‘lead by example’ and incentivise an experienced directly employed and sub contract trade workforce
• Possession of a full current UK Driving licence, which is essential to undertake the Working Foreperson role.

Responsibilities

• You’ll lead from the front on site, carrying out void refurbisment repairs, whilst overseeing your team of operatives and assisting with any issues
• Setting an example to the rest of the team on the tools, you will also work alongside our Contracts Manager, ensuring smooth and high quality delivery at all times
• Health and Safety reporting – you will complete on-site welfare checks, including monitoring safe ways of working, PPE, van, and tool/equipment inspections.
