Job summary

Ian Williams Ltd is seeking a Multi-Trade Team Leader to lead on-site reactive repairs and oversee a team of operatives. The role requires delivering high-quality workmanship and supervising related trades while coordinating with the Contracts Manager.

Applicants should have a minimum NVQ Level 2 in a core trade, with SSSTS being advantageous. A full UK driving licence is essential to fulfil the Working Foreperson duties.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in a core trade or equivalent is beneficial.
• SSSTS qualification would be advantageous but not essential.
• Solid knowledge of construction processes and site welfare checks.

Responsibilities

• Lead from the front on site, carrying out reactive maintenance repairs while overseeing operatives.
• Assist Contracts Manager to ensure smooth and high-quality delivery.
• Conduct on-site welfare checks and monitor PPE, van, and tool inspections.

The Multi Trade Team Leaderrole:

You’ll lead from the front on site, carrying out reactive maintenance repairs, whilst overseeing your team of operatives and assisting with any issues

Setting an example to the rest of the team on the tools, you will also work alongside our Contracts Manager, ensuring smooth and high quality delivery at all times

Health and Safety reporting – you will complete on-site welfare checks, including monitoring safe ways of working, PPE, van, and tool/equipment inspections.

What will you bring as a Multi Trade Team Leader?

Qualified to a minimum NVQ 2 level or equivalent in a core trade would be beneficial.

SSSTS qualification would be advantageous but not essential

Sound knowledge of construction processes

The ability to ‘lead by example’ and incentivise an experienced directly employed and sub contract trade workforce

Possession of a full current UK Driving licence, which is essential to undertake the Working Foreperson role.
