Job summary

Novus Property Solutions is seeking a capable Multi Trade Joiner to undertake repairs and installations across social housing tenanted properties in Dorset and Somerset. You will work site-based with a standard 39-hour week, on-call duties, and a supportive planning team to optimise travel time and workload management.

Essential experience includes joinery and social housing repairs, with a full UK driving license and a requirement for DBS clearance.

Location:Site based, covering Dorset and Somerset region.

Standard Hours Monday- Friday 39 hours plus out of hours on call.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Multi Trade Joiner to join Novus Property Solutions, Responsive Repairs division, providing high-quality repairs and replacement services within Social Housing tenanted properties

An outline of your responsibilities and experience

• Applications are welcome from experienced candidates that have a Multi Trade Joinery background, joinery experience essential. The works include the repairs of various upvc doors, windows, kitchens repairs and installations and general maintenance to ensure functionality.
• Social Housing experience is essential as you will be working in tenanted properties on general repairs maintenance.
• Basic Plumbing, tiling & patch plastering, floor laying, mould and damp treatment is desirable.
• Working from job tickets or a handheld device on a daily basis linked to a live shared system.
• Trusted to manage your own day and workload effectively
• Always delivering an outstanding service to customers with the understanding that you are working in their homes
• Following Novus’ exemplary Health and Safety policies and standards
• NVQ Level 2/3 Joinery or NVQ Level 2 in Property Maintenance. Plumbing, tiling, plastering skills, PASMA, IPAF knowledge or qualifications are advantageous
• Candidates will also require Working at Height, Asbestos Awareness and Manual Handling training. Where these certifications have expired, refresher training can be provided by Novus.
• Full UK driving license is required.
• The role will also require a DBS check to be completed
