Job summary

Novus Property Solutions is seeking a Multi Trade Operative to join our Responsive Repairs team, delivering high-quality joinery and multi-skilled repairs across social housing tenancies. You’ll work site-based across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire and surrounding areas.

You will manage your day, use a handheld device on a live shared system, and contribute to safe, reliable repairs in tenanted properties.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Multi Trade Operative with joinery skills.
• Social Housing experience is essential.
• Carrying out repairs to windows, doors, kitchens and tiling.
• Plumbing basics including toilets, baths and basins.
• Working in tenanted properties with a handheld device and live system.

Responsibilities

• Repair or replace windows, doors, kitchens and tiling.
• Carry out vinyl floor laying (cap and cove) where required.
• Perform basic plumbing repairs in tenanted properties.
• Install and repair pipework and domestic drainage.
• Manage your day using job tickets and a handheld system.
• Deliver outstanding service while following Health and Safety policies.

Location:Site based as part of a team covering Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire and surrounding areas. Standard Hours Monday- Friday 39 hours plus out of hours on call.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Multi Trade Operative to join Novus Property Solutions, Responsive Repairs division, providing high-quality joinery and multi skilled repairs and replacement services within Social Housing tenanted properties

An outline of your responsibilities and experience

• Applications are welcome from experienced candidates that have a Multi Trade Operative background, joinery experience essential.The works include the repairs or replacement of variouswindows, doors, kitchens, tiling & patch plastering is desirable
• Vinyl floor laying (cap and cove) desirable
• Basic plumbing repairs, including toilets, baths, shower trays, basins, taps.
• Pipework installation and repair, soil stacks and domestic drainage
• Working in tenanted properties on responsive repairs.
• Social Housing experience is essential.
• Working from job tickets or a handheld device on a daily basis linked to a live shared system.
• Trusted to manage your own day and workload effectively
• Always delivering an outstanding service to customers with the understanding that you are working in their homes
• Following Novus’ exemplary Health and Safety policies and standards
• NVQ Level 2/3 Joinery or NVQ Level 2 in Property Maintenance. Plumbing, tiling, plastering skills, PASMA, IPAF knowledge or qualifications are advantageous
• Candidates will also require Working at Height, Asbestos Awareness and Manual Handling training. Where these certifications have expired, refresher training can be provided by Novus
• Full UK driving license is required.
• The role will also require a DBS check to be completed
