Job summary

New Forest District Council is seeking a Multi Trade Carpenter to join our in-house team. You will perform 2nd fix carpentry and support broader repairs within social housing, delivering quality workmanship across void and reactive tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience in 2nd fix carpentry including flooring, doors, mouldings, kitchens and fittings.
• Ability to work with related trades to support repairs (plumbing, plastering, vinyl flooring, locksmiths).
• Commitment to health and safety guidelines and high workmanship standards.

Responsibilities

Looking for a new maintenance role in a team environment?

We’re growing our team and looking for a Multi-trade Carpenter to join our friendly and professional in‑house workforce. If you’re highly skilled, take pride in your craft, and enjoy variety in your day, this could be the perfect role for you.

As part of our team, you’ll be responsible for delivering Void and Responsive repairs to our social housing stock—making a real difference in the lives of our residents.

What will you be doing?

• Carpentry : 2nd fix works such as flooring, staircase and balustrades, kitchen installations, doors, mouldings, glazing, and fencing.
• Plus another trade : You’ll also bring skills from a related trade to support a wide range of repairs. Plumbing, plastering, vinyl floor laying or locksmith advantageous.

You’ll need to work independently, follow strict Health & Safety guidelines, and always maintain a high-quality standard of workmanship.
