Job summary

Templer HomeBuild is seeking a skilled Multi Trade Operative to deliver multi-trade domestic works, including plumbing, plastering, tiling and carpentry repairs across occupied and vacant properties.

The role focuses on planned and void refurbishment projects, with occasional reactive and routine repairs. A driving licence and NVQ Level 2 in a relevant trade are required.

Qualifications

• Hold an NVQ Level 2 qualification, or equivalent, in a relevant trade.
• Experience working in domestic properties is essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a range of multi-trade domestic works, including plumbing, patch plastering, tiling and carpentry repairs.
• Work primarily on planned and void refurbishment projects in vacant properties, including kitchen and bathroom refurbishments, with occasional reactive, emergency and routine repairs.
• Complete a variety of repairs, such as fixing taps, repairing leaking pipes, unblocking drainage and carrying out general kitchen and bathroom repair work.
• Build positive working relationships with residents and colleagues while delivering a professional service in domestic settings.

We're looking for a skilled Multi Trade Operative, Multi Trade Plumber or Multi Trade Carpenter to join our successful reactive repairs and voids teams in Newton Abbot. Working across Teignbridge, you'll deliver high-quality residential repairs, and void refurbishment works in our customers' homes.

The Multi Trade Operative role:

• Carry out a range of multi-trade domestic works, including plumbing, patch plastering, tiling and carpentry repairs. You'll use your fault-finding and problem-solving skills across both occupied and unoccupied properties.
• Work primarily on planned and void refurbishment projects in vacant properties, including kitchen and bathroom refurbishments, with occasional reactive, emergency and routine repairs as required.
• Complete a variety of repairs, such as fixing broken taps, repairing leaking pipes, unblocking drainage, and carrying out general kitchen and bathroom repair work.
• Build positive working relationships with residents and colleagues while delivering a professional service in domestic settings.

What you will bring as a Multi Trade Operative:

• Hold an NVQ Level 2 qualification, or equivalent, in a relevant trade. Experience working in domestic properties is essential, while experience in social housing is desirable but not essential.
• Bring a genuine passion for improving people's homes to a high standard, supported by excellent customer service skills and a positive, collaborative approach.
• A full UK driving licence is required.
