Job summary

Fortus Recruitment Group Limited is seeking a MultiTrade Operative to join a social housing contractor across Essex. You will carry out responsive and planned maintenance, using multiple trades, with a company van and fuel card provided. The role requires professionalism, reliability and respect for residents’ homes.

You’ll work independently and as part of a team to repair and maintain occupied properties to high standards, with attention to safety and accuracy in records.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a MultiTrade Operative, ideally within social housing.
• Strong skills across multiple trades.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Professional and customer-focused approach.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out responsive and planned maintenance works within social housing properties.
• Undertake a variety of trades including carpentry, basic plumbing, plastering, tiling, flooring and decorating.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently.
• Complete works to a high standard and aim for first-visit completion.
• Work in occupied properties with a polite and professional approach.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and company procedures.
• Accurately complete job records and communicate updates to the office.

Job description

Fortus Recruitment are currently recruting for MultiTrade Operatives to join a social housing contractor paying £160 to £180 per day working across Essex with a company van and fuel card supplied. You will carry out a wide range of daytoday responsive and planned maintenance works within occupied social housing properties. You will work independently and as part of a wider team, completing repairs safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

You will be customerfacing, so professionalism, reliability, and respect for residents' homes are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out responsive and planned maintenance works within social housing properties
• Undertake a variety of trades, including (but not limited to):
• Carpentry
• Plumbing (basic)
• Plastering (patch repairs)
• Tiling
• Flooring repairs
• Painting & decorating
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently
• Ensure all works are completed to a high standard and completed on first visit where possible
• Work in occupied properties, maintaining a polite and professional manner at all times
• Adhere to health & safety regulations and company procedures
• Accurately complete job records and communicate updates to the office team
