Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel is seeking a detail‑oriented Multi Task Inspector to support Leonardo Helicopters with goods receipt, inspection, storage and packing. You will assist with SAP transactions and MTO activities, ensuring accuracy and timely processing within a busy warehouse environment.

If you have an apprenticeship or NVQ level 3 in engineering and a strong eye for detail, you will thrive in this role. A safe, compliant workspace and ongoing development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship in engineering or NVQ level 3 with aeronautical experience preferred.
• Attention to detail and a right-first-time approach required.
• Good communication and computer literacy essential.

Responsibilities

• Expedite receipt, inspection, handling, storage and despatch of assets per contract.
• Verify and process incoming items with GOLDesp updates and inputs.
• Raise Quality Notifications for non-conforming products and drive corrective actions.
• Support day-to-day warehouse operations, including SAP transactions and MTO activities.
• Provide technical support on aircraft-related matters and align with customer processes.
• Maintain a tidy, safe, and compliant working environment.
• Deliver excellent customer service and uphold health, safety and quality KPIs.
• Deputise for other Inspectors/MTIs and contribute to continuous improvement.

As a Multi Task Inspector at Kuehne+Nagel, you will not only contribute to the success of your team, but also to the day‑to‑day operations and success in the warehouse. For example, providing a support service for Leonardo Helicopters that consists of all standard logistics activities such as goods receipt, quality inspection, storage and picking & packing. As part of our long standing partnership with Leonardo Helicopters, we provide a comprehensive production support and through‑life service package. This includes core logistics functions such as goods receipt, quality inspection, storage, picking and packing. Our dedicated, co‑located support centres ensure a seamless “store‑to‑fitment” service that keeps operations running smoothly.

We are now looking for an Inspector to join our team someone with an eye for detail, ideally previous experience in a similar role, and strong IT skills.

How you create impact

• Expedite the receipt, inspection, handling, storage and despatch of customer assets in line with contract requirements.
• Assess, verify and process all incoming items, ensuring accurate GOLDesp capture, updates and authorised inputs.
• Raise Quality Notifications for non‑conforming products and investigate discrepancies, identifying corrective actions.
• Support day‑to‑day warehouse and supply chain operations, including SAP transactions and MTO activities.
• Provide technical support on aircraft‑related matters and maintain familiarity with customer processes, procedures, technical publications and drawings.
• Ensure efficient use of warehouse resources while maintaining a tidy, safe and compliant working environment.
• Deliver excellent customer service and uphold company standards in health & safety, quality and operational performance (KPIs).
• Deputise for other Inspectors/MTIs when required and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

What we would like you to bring

• Have completed an Apprenticeship in engineering or equivalent i.e. NVQ level 3, Military qualification, and have had experience within the aeronautical industry.
• Must be totally flexible and willing to learn.
• Have an understanding of the need for attention to detail, with a “right first time” approach.
• Can demonstrate good communication skills.
• Shall have confidence within a busy & diverse working environment and have the ability to prioritise work on a day‑to‑day basis.
• Must be computer literate and will have been trained in the use of MS Office Suite
