Mitie is seeking a Multi Skilled Shift Engineer - Elec Bias in Coventry to support maintenance across healthcare estates. The role involves diagnosing faults, delivering high workmanship, and ensuring safety compliance in a dynamic environment.

The position requires NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent IOSH Working Safely, with a structured training program in Electrical Engineering for at least 3 years. 42-hour week with shift rotations.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing faults across engineering, electrical and/or plumbing systems.
• NVQ level 3 in Electrical engineering or equivariant IOSH Working safely.
• Completion of a structured training programme in Electrical Engineering for a minimum of 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and judge across a wide range of issues including planned, reactive and unplanned maintenance and emergencies.
• Diagnose and repair faults in electrical and/or plumbing installations, plant and equipment.
• Deliver high workmanship standards across complex systems and understand mechanical-electrical relationships.
• Monitor the CAFM system to ensure tasks are assigned and resolved in time.
• Observe health and safety, Electricity at Work Regulations, asbestos, legionella and COSHH regulations.

Role Responsibilities:

• Interpret and make judgements across a wide range of issues, understanding the complexity of pre‑planned maintenance, reactive maintenance, unplanned events and emergencies while working in a controlled manner.
• Diagnose and repair faults in engineering, electrical and/or plumbing installations, plant and equipment, adapting to new situations as they arise and sharing knowledge with others..
• Delivering high standards of workmanship across complex systems and understanding the relationship between mechanical and electrical systems.
• Actively monitor the CAFM system to ensure all tasks are assigned within appropriate timescales and issues are resolved proactively.
• Observe statutory requirements including health and safety, Electricity at Work Regulations, asbestos, legionella and COSHH regulations.
