Mitie Group plc is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Operative to support installation, maintenance and repairs across multiple sites in Crawley. The role emphasizes safety, reliability and collaboration, with work conducted both independently and as part of a team to complete planned and remedial tasks on time.

The ideal applicant is qualified to BS 7671, 18th Edition, holds a Level 3 electrical qualification and can read technical drawings.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

ROLE: Electrical Maintenance Operative
HOURS: 8-5, M-F (40 hours per week)
LOCATION: Crawley

The role involves working independently and collaboratively to deliver planned and remedial works on time, while strictly adhering to health and safety regulations.

Role Responsibilities:

• Complete electrical installations and assist tradespeople with wiring, calibration, and alignment tasks.


• Carry out testing, fault diagnosis, repairs, and updates to maintenance work orders.


• Use appropriate test equipment and tools, understanding their limitations.


• Follow lockout/tagout procedures — no live working permitted.


• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and attend toolbox talks.

Required Qualifications: applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.

• Qualified to BS 7671, 18th Edition, in Electrical Installations.


• Level 3 qualfication in electrical.
