Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Shift Electrical Engineer to deliver maintenance services across healthcare estates in Coventry. The role involves diagnosing faults, performing electrical and/or plumbing maintenance, and delivering high workmanship across complex systems.

You will monitor tasks in the CAFM system, ensure timely resolution, and observe health and safety regulations. The position supports career development within a leading facilities management provider.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing faults across engineering, electrical and/or plumbing systems.
• NVQ level 3 in Electrical engineering or equivariant
• Completion of a structured training programme in Electrical Engineering for a minimum of 3 years.

Role: Shift Electrical Engineer
Hours: 42 hours (12 hours shift pattern: 4 days On, 4 days Off, 4 nights On, 4 nights Off)
Location: Coventry, CV2 2DX

Role Responsibilities:

• Interpret and make judgements across a wide range of issues, understanding the complexity of pre‑planned maintenance, reactive maintenance, unplanned events and emergencies while working in a controlled manner.
• Diagnose and repair faults in engineering, electrical and/or plumbing installations, plant and equipment, adapting to new situations as they arise and sharing knowledge with others..
• Delivering high standards of workmanship across complex systems and understanding the relationship between mechanical and electrical systems.
• Actively monitor the CAFM system to ensure all tasks are assigned within appropriate timescales and issues are resolved proactively.
• Observe statutory requirements including health and safety, Electricity at Work Regulations, asbestos, legionella and COSHH regulations.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience diagnosing and repairing faults across engineering, electrical and/or plumbing systems.
• NVQ level 3 in Electrical engineering or equivariant
  IOSH Working safely
• Completion of a structured training programme inElectrical Engineering for a minimum of 3 years.
