Job summary

WPS in London is seeking experienced Multi‑Skilled Engineers (Electrical & Mechanical) to support facilities management for the JLL‑managed Aviva portfolio. The role requires electrical or mechanical qualifications and strong fault‑finding capabilities.

You will perform PPM and reactive maintenance on HVAC, pumps, lighting and distribution systems, liaise with clients, and maintain safety compliance while using CAFM/mobile reporting tools.

Qualifications

• Must have electrical or mechanical qualification with relevant NVQ/level 3.
• Electrical: NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671) and City & Guilds 2391 desirable.
• Mechanical: NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing/Mechanical Building Services or HVAC qualification.
• Experience in Facilities Management or Building Services with PPM and reactive maintenance.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills; good communication and customer service; full UK driving licence; knowledge of BMS and statutory compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities.
• Diagnose faults and repair electrical and mechanical building services systems.
• Maintain and service HVAC systems, pumps and motors, lighting, electrical distribution and water systems.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency call-outs.
• Ensure all work complies with health & safety regulations and company procedures.
• Complete work reports accurately using CAFM/mobile systems.
• Build strong relationships with the client and stakeholders.
• Support the wider engineering team to maintain service delivery standards.

Join WPS: We are recruiting experienced Multi‑Skilled Engineers (Electrical & Mechanical) to support the delivery of Facilities Management services across the prestigious JLL‑managed Aviva portfolio in London. We welcome applications from qualified engineers with either an electrical background (minimum NVQ Level 3 and 18th Edition) or a mechanical background (Level 3 Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering or HVAC qualification).

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities.

About You

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

Applicants must hold qualifications in either an electrical or mechanical discipline:

• Electrical EngineersNVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation, Electrical Maintenance or a related electrical discipline.18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).Inspection & Testing (City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent) desirable.
• Mechanical EngineersNVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or a related mechanical discipline.HVAC qualification, certification or demonstrable HVAC maintenance experience.
• For All ApplicantsProven experience within a Facilities Management, Building Services or Maintenance environment.Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across building services systems.Experience carrying out both Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.Good understanding of commercial building services.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Full UK Driving Licence.DesirableCity & Guilds qualifications.Experience working within prestigious corporate or commercial environments.Knowledge of BMS systems and statutory compliance requirements.
