Description

We are looking for 2 talented Multi Skilled Maintenance Technicians to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our DTO Product Development Business Unit in UK, Darlington, County Durham, United Kingdom.

These are permanent positions.

1. HC Rota 3 shift rotation weekly:
2. Mornings (Monday to Friday 6.00am to 2.00pm)
3. Afternoons (Monday to Friday 2.00pm to 10.00pm)
4. Nightshift (Sunday to Thursday 10.00pm to 6.00am)
5. HC Weekend shifts workdays 7:00am-7:00pm and nights 7:00pm – 7:00am over a 4-week period as below:
6. Fri/Sat/Sun Days
7. Fri/Sat/Sun Nights
8. Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon Days
9. Fri/Sat/Sun Nights

Impact in this role

• Working proactively to maintain and repair equipment across multiple areas of the facility.
• Maintaining process capability and reliability to achieve optimum availability of machinery, equipment, related plant and services.
• Operating Development Test Cells and prioritising cells based on performance.
• Supporting continuous improvement by preventing potential issues.
• Enhancing safety and quality by ensuring equipment operates safely.
• Demonstrating adaptability with a rotating week/weekend shift schedule.

Education/Experience

• Strong knowledge of Troubleshooting, assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining mechanical systems using all necessary tools.
• Ability to assess safety risks, prioritize tasks, and make decisions to enhance productivity and equipment availability.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with employees and external suppliers.
• Ability to work independently, learn safety protocols, and respond promptly to equipment breakdowns.

Responsibilities

To be successful, you will:

• Respond to test cell breakdowns, operate test cells, and ensure all equipment is functional for testing.
• Work on a 24/7 shift schedule, providing maintenance and breakdown support independently.
• Maintain Test Cell Equipment and Support Systems, support engine tests, and prioritize safety during repairs.
• Order parts and coordinate with external suppliers for timely delivery.
