Job summary

Lancer Scott Ltd. is seeking a skilled Building Services Technician with carpentry experience to support projects across Cardiff, Brecon and Abergavenny. You will handle a range of maintenance tasks, liaising with clients and internal teams to ensure quality and timely delivery.

The role focuses on carpentry, plasterboard work, decorating and repairs, with emphasis on accurate record keeping and clear communication. A practical problem-solving mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in general Building Services Maintenance work and an NVQ in a trade, ideally carpentry
• Well developed communication skills and able to work successfully with both internal and external stakeholders
• Able to produce clear and professional notes and emails
• Comfortable working with multiple systems and maintaining accurate records
• A problem solving mindset, with a practical application

Responsibilities

• Instal and make good plasterboard, skirting and boxing in on a range of different spaces
• 1st and 2nd fix plumbing in different hospitality spaces, along with general repairs
• Carry out a range of decorating projects both internally and externally
• Ensure all required materials are requested and cross check with the helpdesk to make sure they are delivered to the correct address
• Purchase additional materials and equipment if necessary
• Liaise with the client on any queries and be comfortable explaining any issues/challenges on a job
• Confirm each job meets the required standards and provide paperwork for the clients records
• Update the job log with notes and upload relevant documentation
• Support the Account Manager and Billing Team with query management to aid the invoicing process

What will be my core responsibilities?
