Job summary

Lancer Scott in Bristol is seeking a tradesperson focused on tiling to join our facilities management team. You will handle tiling work orders for internal and external buildings, including some landscaping, and support reactive maintenance tasks as directed by the Helpdesk.

You'll work to tight timescales, adhere to current regulations and contract specifications, and use PDAs or other devices to record work and progress. A full UK driving license is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years’ tiling experience with various products and materials.
• Valid UK driving license.
• Ability to use PDAs and basic IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the LS FM Team with responsibility for all tiling related work orders for both internal and external buildings to include some landscaping.
• Support the team on reactive and remedial repairs as directed by the LS FM Helpdesk on plumbing installations such as removing sinks and toilets and fixing minor defects to heating and ventilation systems.
• Use your initiative to solve problems associated with reactive maintenance activities, including sourcing parts & materials and seeking manufacturer technical support.
• Carry out all works within agreed timescales and to the highest standards, ensuring that you comply with current regulations and contract specifications.
• Reporting and recording procedures, including operation and maintenance logs and control measures to minimise risks.
• Utilise PDAs or electronic devices to complete works.
• Liaise closely with our control hub to ensure efficient response to all works either working on your own or as part of a team.
• Observe the highest levels of health and safety at all times, including carrying out point of work risk assessments for every task to ensure the best possible working practices are adhered to.

What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?

• Hold a minimum of 3+ years’ experience in tiling and the use of a broad range of different products and materials
• Current Full UK Driver’s License
• IT Skills – use of PDA’s
