Job summary

Lancer Scott Ltd. is seeking a Fire Door maintenance professional to service a Premier Inn contract across the Basingstoke area.

You will perform preventive maintenance, assess sites, prepare quotes, and liaise with clients to ensure standards and documentation are met. The role requires experience in building services maintenance, strong communication, and the ability to manage records and documentation effectively.

Qualifications

• Experience in general Building Services Maintenance work.
• Well developed communication skills and able to work successfully with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Able to produce clear and professional notes and emails.
• Comfortable working with multiple systems and maintaining accurate records.
• A problem solving mindset, with a practical application.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance of Fire Doors for a large hospitality client ensuring all works meet building regs and current legislation and are completed within the required SLA’s.
• Install and make good plasterboard, skirting and boxing in on a range of different spaces.
• Assess each job and produce a quote detailing hours required and materials.
• Liaise with the client on queries and explain technical specifications of products.
• Certify each job meets required standards and provide paperwork for client records.
• Update the job log with notes and upload relevant documentation.
• Ensure all required materials are requested and delivered to the correct address.
• Purchase additional materials and equipment if necessary.
• Liaise with the client on queries and explain issues/challenges on a job.
• Support the Account Manager and Billing Team with query management to aid invoicing.

What will be my core responsibilities?

Working with the Premier Inn to provide a comprehensive Fire Door maintenance service across the Basingstoke area, ensuring all legislation requirements are met and the quality of work is to the client’s satisfaction.
