Job summary

Lancer Scott is seeking a Mobile Fabric Engineer to cover the Gloucester area on a range of contracts. You will deliver high-quality maintenance services, work on reactive tasks, source parts, and document all activities. You will liaise with the Helpdesk and ensure safety and quality in every task.

Essential qualifications include a trade qualification (C&G/NVQ L2-L3), 3+ years in building maintenance, and a full UK driving license. Desirable Fire door, CSCS/IOSH, asbestos awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional maintenance services to high profile clients.
  • Solve technical problems during reactive maintenance, sourcing parts and seeking technical support.
  • Prepare detailed write-ups of works carried out for clients.
  • Complete tasks within agreed timescales and comply with regulations.
  • Record procedures and maintain operation logs to minimise risks.
  • Use PDAs/tablets to complete works.
  • Coordinate with Helpdesk for timely responses, solo or in teams.
  • Maintain safety through risk assessments for every task.
  • Represent the company professionally to clients daily.
  • Provide call-out response across all contracts.

What will be my core responsibilities?

This is a mobile Fabric Engineer role covering the Gloucester area on a range of different contracts.

  • Provide exceptional maintenance services to our high profile Clients and go the extra mile to deliver to the highest quality standards in all areas of your performance.
  • Use your own initiative to solve complicated technical problems associated with reactive maintenance activities, including sourcing parts & materials and seeking manufacturer technical support.
  • Provide detailed write-ups of works carried out to ensure our client is kept up to date at all times.
  • Carry out all works within agreed timescales and to the highest standards, ensuring that you comply with current regulations and contract specifications.
  • Reporting and recording procedures, including operation and maintenance logs and control measures to minimise risks.
  • Utilise PDAs or electronic devices to complete works.
  • Liaise closely with our Helpdesk to ensure efficient response to all works either working on your own or as part of a team.
  • Observe the highest levels of health and safety at all times, including carrying out point of work risk assessments for every task to ensure the best possible working practices are adhered to.
  • Deal with a variety of Clients on a daily basis. You will represent the Company and be courteous and professional in your dealings with them at all times.
  • Provide a call out response across all contracts.

What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?
  • A customer-focused attitude with a practical problem solving approach.

Essential:
  • A relevant qualification in your trade to C&G or NVQ L2 or L3
  • Hold a minimum of 3 years' experience in a building maintenance role, particularly in relation to reactive and remedial maintenance
  • Demonstrate a general wide knowledge of building systems in relation to reactive tasks encompassing, fabric tasks including Carpentry, wet trade tasks, minor plumbing tasks, tiling and ground works.
  • IT confident, used to working on a Tablet and updating work orders
  • Current Full UK Driver's License
Desirable:
  • FDIS or equivalent Fire door qualification
  • IOSH - Working safely or CSCS Card
  • Asbestos awareness training (UKATA)
  • CSR/CSCS H&S qualification
