Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical)

Location: Drake Circus, Plymouth

Type: Permanent

Salary: Up to £36k, plus O/T and flexible benefits

NG Bailey Facilities Services is seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Drake Circus, Plymouth.

The successful candidate will provide Mechanical, Electrical, and Building Fabric maintenance for the shopping centre as a qualified Electrical Engineer.

Due to the shopping centre environment, flexibility is required to support retail opening hours. The standard working pattern includes:

• Monday to Friday: 07:00 – 15:00
• One weekend in every three (with the following Monday and Tuesday off)
• One week in three working late shifts: 12:00 – 20:00

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver a PPM Program related to Electrical/Mechanical Building services plant and equipment, meeting client and statutory compliance standards.
• Cost and complete remedial works identified through PPM tasks.
• Perform Electrical/Installation work efficiently, adhering to National Working Regulations.
• Maintain premises to a high standard, capable of working independently and managing reactive works when needed.
• Complete documentation, job sheets, and certificates promptly.
• Participate in site duty engineer rota, including weekend shifts.

Qualifications and experience:

• Level 3 City & Guilds Electrical or Mechanical apprenticeship
• Strong technical background with proactive fault-finding skills
• Awareness of Health and Safety Regulations
• Ability to prioritize tasks and collaborate effectively
• Experience with PPMs and routine Mechanical & Electrical repairs
• 18th Edition IEE Regulations (preferred)
• Driving license (preferred)
• IOSH Working/Managing Safely (desirable)
• Knowledge of PTW, RAMS procedures (desirable)
