Job description

Mission:

An exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in a fast-moving production environment. To make a difference by being involved in reactive and preventative maintenance, directly supporting production and the development and delivery of new technologies and practices within a future-focused global manufacturing company on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities:

• Reactive and preventative maintenance within Production
• Fault diagnostics and remediation on pneumatic and electro-mechanical machinery
• Support in the installation and commissioning of new production lines, machines, and equipment
• Development and improvement of existing production equipment, optimizing and monitoring performance
• Support site management of contractors, ensuring RAMS, inductions, and site work comply with company policies and procedures

Skills and qualifications:

• Experience in machinery fault diagnostics and remediation
• Pneumatics and hydraulic systems knowledge
• Good workshop skills including milling and turning
• Experience with Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPMs)
• Understanding of H&S in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of Automation / Controls Systems and PLC programming is advantageous
• NVQ Level 5/City & Guilds/HND or higher mechanical qualification or equivalent experience
• Hands-on maintenance experience in a multi-functional manufacturing facility, focusing on mechanical, pneumatics, and hydraulics
• Experience managing contractor work, RAMS, and H&S procedures, possibly with IOSH qualification
• Working at Height certificates for MEWP and PASMA are desirable but not essential
