Job summary

Pertemps Black Country Perms is seeking a skilled Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a Willenhall shift role, moving to Bilston in the New Year. The position offers £43,000 per year (paid hourly) with enhanced overtime after lengthy hours.

Split shifts (6 til 2 and 2 til 10) in a permanent, full-time role. You will maintain mechanical/electrical systems and contribute to site improvements while keeping production running safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer in manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance skills.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and automated machinery.
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• A proactive approach with a commitment to keeping production running efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across manufacturing equipment.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise production downtime.
• Diagnose and repair both mechanical and electrical faults.
• Maintain hydraulic, pneumatic and automated systems.
• Ensure machinery is operating safely and efficiently.
• Work closely with production teams to maximise machine uptime.
• Record maintenance activities accurately.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with Health & Safety procedures.

The Opportunity to join an established and growing manufacturing business based in Willenhall is looking to recruit an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join its busy engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a fast-paced production environment where you'll play a key role in ensuring machinery and equipment operate safely and efficiently.
