Job summary

Pertemps Black Country Perms is seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a Willenhall base, moving to Bilston in the New Year. A permanent, full-time role offering £43,000 per annum (paid hourly) with enhanced overtime after 40 hours.

You'll perform PPM across manufacturing equipment, respond to breakdowns, and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults. The job features split shifts and a strong emphasis on safety and continuous improvement within a well-established site.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance within manufacturing or production environments.
• Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance skills.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and automated machinery.
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proactive approach to keeping production running smoothly.
• A recognised engineering qualification would be advantageous.

SPLIT SHIFTS (6 TIL 2 And 2 til 10)

• Maintain hydraulic, pneumatic and automated systems.

• Work closely with production teams to maximise machine uptime.
• Record maintenance activities accurately.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with Health & Safety procedures.

About You

• Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance skills.
• Experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics and automated machinery.
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• A proactive approach with a commitment to keeping production running efficiently.
• A recognised engineering qualification would be advantageous.
