SourceCo Recruitment Limited is recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer in Allensmore, Hereford. You will maintain and improve production machinery, reduce downtime, and ensure safe, efficient operation.

The role requires a Level 3 Engineering qualification or Advanced Apprenticeship with 4+ years' experience in mechanical/electrical maintenance. Rotating 12-hour shifts, full-time, permanent, with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years' engineering experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance knowledge.
• Experience with fault-finding, PPM and reactive maintenance.
• Understanding of industrial machinery and mechanical assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs.
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults across production equipment.
• Responding to breakdowns and identifying root causes.
• Maintaining and repairing conveyors, motors and other industrial machinery.
• Supporting machinery installations, upgrades and engineering projects.
• Assisting with electrical systems, control panels and PLC-related maintenance.
• Recording maintenance activities, breakdowns and spare parts usage.
• Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime.
• Maintaining high health, safety and engineering standards.

Shift Pattern: Rotating Days & Nights – 6am–6pm / 6pm–6am

The Role

You’ll be responsible for maintaining and improving the reliability of production machinery, reducing downtime and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

What We're Looking For

• Level 3 Engineering qualification or Advanced Engineering Apprenticeship
• Minimum 4 years' engineering experience
• Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance knowledge
• Experience with fault-finding, PPM and reactive maintenance
• Understanding of industrial machinery and mechanical assemblies
• A proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving
• Ability to work independently and within a team

Desirable but not essential:

• 17th or 18th Edition electrical qualification
• PLC fault-finding experience
• Pneumatics experience
• Welding or fabrication skills
• Previous food or industrial manufacturing experience
