Job summary

Jelly Technical is recruiting on behalf of a leading food manufacturer for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their established production facility in Cheshire / North Wales Borders.

This fast-paced, hands-on role involves day-to-day engineering support, site projects and factory upgrades, with 4 on, 4 off shifts (2 days, 2 nights).

Qualifications

• Time-served electrical/mechanical apprentice (Level 3).
• Experience in food, drink or FMCG manufacturing is advantageous.
• Proficient in electrical and mechanical fault-finding; PLC troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain machinery per PPM schedules.
• Respond to breakdowns, diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
• Support continuous improvement and safety compliance.

Jelly Technical is recruiting on behalf of a leading food manufacturer for an experienced, enthusiastic and hands on Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their established production facility. Our client offers a fast-paced, collaborative working environment where you will play an active role in day to day engineering support, site projects and factory upgrades.

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, your key responsibilities include:

• PPM Schedules: Undertake routine electrical and mechanical maintenance of machinery in accordance with planned schedules.
• Breakdown Response: React swiftly to plant breakdowns, diagnosing and repairing complex electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
• Continuous Improvement: Adjust machinery, optimise performance and highlight areas for improvement to keep the plant running at optimum levels.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all maintenance tasks are carried out in strict accordance with company safety rules and health & safety legislation.

What You'll Bring:

• Qualifications: Time-served electrical/mechanical apprentice (Level 3 as a minimum).
• Industry Experience: Proven track record working within a food, drink, or fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment is highly advantageous, however other manufacturing/ automated environments are suitable.
• Technical Skills: Competent in electrical and mechanical fault-finding, with practical experience troubleshooting using PLC's.
