Job summary

Jelly Technical is recruiting on behalf of a leading food manufacturer for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their modern Preston facility. The role offers a structured development programme and a rotating shift pattern to promote work-life balance in a 24/7 operation.

You will maintain high standards of health and food safety, carry out preventive maintenance, diagnose breakdowns, and drive continuous improvement across production areas.

Qualifications

• Qualified to apprenticeship level or above (electrical or mechanical).
• Experience in a maintenance role within automated manufacturing with food / FMCG advantageous.
• Strong technical skills and familiarity with CMMS systems and MS Office tools.
• Analytical and systematic approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced production environment.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of Health & Safety, Food Safety, and GMP compliance.
• Carry out proactive and reactive maintenance support across all production areas.
• Complete Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and troubleshoot mechanical/electrical issues.
• Diagnose and resolve breakdowns efficiently to minimise downtime.
• Highlight areas for performance improvement and reliability across the site.
