Job summary

The One Group is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer in St. Neots to support a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing operation. The role covers both mechanical and electrical maintenance across a range of production equipment in a modern, automated facility.

You will perform PPMs, diagnose faults, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining safe practices and accurate CMMS records. PLC experience is a plus, and NVQ Level 3 in Engineering is preferred.

Qualifications

• Multi-skilled maintenance experience within FMCG/manufacturing environments.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• PLC experience welcomed and beneficial.
• Good communication for shift handovers with production teams.
• Genuine multi-skilled technical capabilities demonstrated.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs.
• Diagnose and fault-find on electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine performance.
• Undertake project work as required.
• Keep CMMS system updated and accurate.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with procedures.

Salary: £52,000 - £56,000

I'm recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing business in St. Neots. Ideally, you'll be a genuinely multi-skilled engineer with both strong mechanical and electrical maintenance experience, capable of supporting a wide range of production equipment in a modern manufacturing environment. This is a fantastic company, with a lot of automation and very forward thinking.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs.
• Diagnose and fault-find on electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine performance.
• Undertake project work
• Keeping CMMS system updated
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures.

Requirements:

• Multi-skilled maintenance experience within an FMCG, food, packaging, or manufacturing environment.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• NVQ Level 3 or above in Engineering
• PLC experience is welcomed
• Strong communication for shift handovers, working with production etc.
• Genuine multi skilled technical capabilities demonstratable.
