Job summary

TechNichols Resourcing Ltd is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical bias) for a large industrial facility. You will join a friendly, skilled team, working on a range of automated machinery and systems, with opportunities to gain further qualifications and advance within the company.

The role involves shift work (early and late), requires at least 3 years in manufacturing, and expects a proactive, detail-oriented problem-solver who can travel for training as needed.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing/process environment.
• Engineering Level 3 and 4 NVQ qualifications; a Higher National Diploma or C&G equivalent is advantageous.
• Self-motivated, able to make decisions and react quickly to business needs.
• Ability to build effective relationships across all management levels and staff; team player.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; proficient in MS Office.
• Record PPM information into a CMMS system accurately.
• Logical approach to fault finding with high attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel to offsite training facilities and other factories in the group.
• Experience with conveyors, boilers, packaging, bearings, belts, 3 phase motors, sensors, inverters, relays, contactors, PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics.
• Friendly and adaptable attitude; proactive and hands-on.

Responsibilities

• Support production machinery across the plant with reactive, troubleshooting and repair tasks.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and implement new installations or refurbishments.
• Adapt to a variety of equipment and continuously learn within a large industrial environment.

Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 per annum

Hours: Rotating shift pattern (Early's/lates)

Location: Commutable from Malmesbury, Faringdon, Chippenham, Swindon

Responsibilities:

Maintenance Engineers (Shift Engineers) support the production machinery including reactive, trouble-shooting and repair tasks, planned preventative maintenance, new installations and refurbishments. This would suit Maintenance Engineers who like to variation, to work across a range of machinery and equipment, who aren’t afraid to apply themselves and learn.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a manufacturing/process environment.
• Completed an Engineering Level 3 and 4 NVQ qualification. A ‘Higher National Diploma’ will be a distinct advantage or C&G equivalent.
• You will be self-motivated, able to make decisions and react quickly to the needs of the business.
• Ability to develop effective working relationships across all levels of management and staff and work as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. (Inc. use of MS Office)
