Job summary

CV Technical Ltd. is seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer for our Ely-area manufacturing site.

The role focuses on maintaining and improving high-speed production machinery, fault-finding across electrical and mechanical systems, and performing planned preventative maintenance. The ideal candidate holds an engineering apprenticeship (Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronic) with NVQ/City & Guilds/BTEC and has experience with PLCs and 3-phase motors.

Qualifications

• Experience in FMCG or high-speed manufacturing environments (preferred).
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Working knowledge of PLC systems for diagnostics.
• Experience maintaining die cutters, folder gluers, printers, stackers, or conveyors.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and PLC diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Fault finding and repair on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Maintenance of high-speed production machinery.
• Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdowns.
• Electrical work including 3-phase motors, inverters, sensors, and control panels.
• Mechanical work including bearings, chains, belts, gearboxes, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
• PLC fault diagnosis (Siemens, Allen-Bradley or similar)

Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

Location: Ely
Salary: £47,000 per annum

We are currently recruiting for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Ely. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically and mechanically skilled engineer looking for a stable role within a fast-paced production environment.

You must live within a commutable distance to Ely and be comfortable working a Perm Nights shift.

The Role

As a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving site machinery performance, responding to breakdowns, and carrying out planned preventative maintenance.

• Maintenance of high-speed production machinery
• Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdowns
• Electrical work including 3-phase motors, inverters, sensors, and control panels
• Mechanical work including bearings, chains, belts, gearboxes, pneumatics, and hydraulics
• PLC fault diagnosis (Siemens, Allen-Bradley or similar)
