Job summary

Hunter Selection are recruiting a Maintenance Engineer for our client in Atherton, Greater Manchester. The role offers a 4 on/4 off pattern of days and nights, a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will perform planned and reactive maintenance to maximise OEE, work with the engineering team, and contribute to improvement projects while adhering to safety standards. The environment is fast-paced, with training opportunities and career development.

Qualifications

• Time-served electrical maintenance engineering experience.
• Food/FMCG/Packaging industrial engineering backgrounds desired.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Motivated to work in a team and continue to develop as an engineer.
• Ability to work independently.
• Willingness to train and take on internal training opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Planned and reactive maintenance to maximise OEE, reduce downtime and improve machinery performance.
• Communicate effectively with the wider engineering team, production and other key stakeholders.
• Adhere to Health & Safety on site at all times and ensure the highest H&S standards and safe working practices.
• Spot opportunities for process improvements and work with the team to implement them.
• Maintenance on mixers, valves, reactors and other mechanical equipment.
• Contribute to improvement projects.
