MorePeople is recruiting a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a site in Erith, Kent. The role requires a hands-on engineer with a 60/40 mechanical bias to maintain and fault-find on production equipment across a 4 on/4 off days and nights pattern.

You'll perform PPM and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults, and support improvements while ensuring safety standards and teamwork within the engineering and operations groups.

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Location: Erith, Kent

Salary: £56,393 per annum

Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off | Days and Nights

We're recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join an established engineering team at a site in Erith.

We're looking for an engineer with a 60/40 Mechanical bias who can bring strong maintenance and fault-finding skills to a fast-paced operational environment.

The Role

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on site machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Respond to breakdowns to minimise downtime and maintain production efficiency.
• Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability.
• Work collaboratively with the wider engineering and operations teams.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and housekeeping.

Salary & Benefits

• £56,393 basic annual salary
• Overtime paid at 1.5x
• 12 additional cover days when required, paid at 1.5x
• 22 days' annual holiday, inclusive of bank holidays

Shift Pattern

• 2 day shifts: 5:00am-5:00pm
• 2 night shifts: 5:00pm-5:00am

• A strong mechanical background, ideally with a 60/40 mechanical bias.
• Good electrical and mechanical fault-finding capabilities.
• Experience with preventative and reactive maintenance.
• A proactive approach to breakdown response and problem-solving.
• The ability to work effectively within a shift-based engineering team.
