Job summary

A higher education provider is seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to maintain and refurbish equipment across their UK estates. The candidate will ensure the functionality and safety of building infrastructure and assist in refurbishment projects. This role involves flexibility with travel across campuses, covering a 40-hour week, ensuring optimal service delivery for maintenance tasks. Ideal applicants will have relevant certifications, prior maintenance experience, and a proactive attitude.

Qualifications

• Certification in 18th Edition Wiring Regulations is essential.
• City & Guilds or equivalent NVQ in Electrical Installations required.
• Experience in building maintenance and M&E systems essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, install, and refurbish buildings and equipment.
• Conduct preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Assist in planning refurbishment projects.

Skills

18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification

City & Guilds Level 2 and/or Level 3 in Electrical Installations

Previous experience in building maintenance including M&E systems

Manual skills, knowledge of refurbishment techniques

Flexible and proactive approach to work

Familiarity with COSHH requirements

Interpersonal skills

Full, clean driving licence
