Job summary

Mitie is seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer OR Fabric Engineer to deliver building fabric maintenance and repairs at Heathrow Terminal 4. This permanent role offers a 42-hour week with a 12-hour night shift (7pm–7am) on a 4 on/4 off cycle.

Responsibilities include plumbing, carpentry, painting, minor mechanical/electrical tasks, and maintaining inspection logs. Candidates should have FM/building services experience, basic electrical/plumbing skills, and IT literacy.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management or building services.
• Trade background or served experience in a similar role.
• Basic electrical and/or plumbing skills.
• Manual handling certified and able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Strong communication skills and IT literacy for task recording and updates.

• Deliver building fabric maintenance and repairs including plumbing, carpentry, painting, and patch works.
• Carry out minor mechanical/electrical repairs and planned preventative maintenance (PPMs).
• Maintain inspection logs, remedial reports, and communicate updates to clients.
• Perform tasks such as door repairs, ceiling tile replacements, tiling, and gutter clearance.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards and maintain equipment condition.

Hours: 42 hours average - 12 hour shift - 4 on / 4 off (7pm - 7am)
Location: Terminal 4
