You will need 2–3 years’ multi-trade experience, a valid CSCS card, and a clean UK driving licence. Heathrow commute and out-of-hours work are common, with attractive overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of multi-trade maintenance experience in commercial/high-traffic environments.
• 5-year checkable work history is essential to clear Heathrow Airside Security passes.
• Valid CSCS Blue or Green card required.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.
• Willingness to work day and night shifts, including out-of-hours maintenance.
• Local commute to Heathrow for rapid response is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fabric maintenance: general repairs, plastering, tiling, decorating.
• Carpentry & Joinery: door adjustments, lock replacements, skirting or shopfront fitting.
• Minor plumbing: basic diagnostics, leak repairs, drainage clearance.
• Health & Safety: maintain clean, compliant site under airport protocols.
• Reporting: complete digital logs and use mobile asset management tools.

Location: Heathrow Airport (Airside & Landside)

Salary: £20.00 - £29.00 per hour ) + shift uplifts & overtime

Position Type: Full-Time, Contract

Shifts: Flexible shift patterns including days, nights, and weekends (with enhanced night/weekend rates)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Multi-Trade Operative to join our busy Small Works and Facilities and install division based at Heathrow Airport.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabric Maintenance: Carry out general reactive fabric repairs, patch plastering, wall/floor tiling, and decorating.
• Carpentry & Joinery: Perform door adjustments, lock replacements, ironmongery fixes, and fit skirting or shopfront units.
• Minor Plumbing: Tackle basic plumbing diagnostics, leak repairs, and clearing unblocks within commercial/retail spaces.
• Health & Safety: Maintain exceptionally clean working environments in compliance with strict airport fire, safety, and security protocols.
• Reporting: Complete digital job logs and document work using mobile-based asset management software.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in multi-trade maintenance, preferably within a commercial, high-traffic, or facility environment.
• 5-Year Checkable Work History: Essential requirement. You must be able to provide a continuous, verifiable 5-year reference history to clear Heathrow Airside Security ID passes.
• Valid CSCS Card: Must hold a valid Blue or Green CSCS card.
• Driving Licence: Full, clean UK Driving Licence.
• Shift Flexibility: Willingness to work a combination of day and night shifts, as a lot of heavy airport maintenance must occur out-of-hours.
• Local Commute: Ideally living within a reliable commutable distance of Heathrow for early shifts or rapid emergency responses.

Desirable But Not Essential

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in a core trade (e.g., Carpentry, Plumbing, or Plastering).
• Active Heathrow Airside Pass or valid General Security Awareness Training (GSAT) certification.
