Job summary

Mitie Group plc. at Heathrow Airport is seeking a Mechanical and Electrical Engineer to deliver reliable maintenance and repairs of building services. You will work on plumbing, HVAC and water assets while meeting SLA targets and maintenance schedules.

You will report defects, support planning for critical assets, and comply with health and safety rules. A full UK driving licence and IT literacy are essential, with strong communication and room to grow within a dynamic facilities team.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications such as C&G Level 2/3 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair plumbing, ventilation, heating and cooling systems at Heathrow.
• Deliver high-quality service, respond to client queries and report defects.
• Complete inspection reports and remedial logs accurately and on time.
• Support supervisor with maintenance planning on critical assets.
• Work at heights and in confined spaces; participate in On-Call Rota; follow safety procedures.

ROLE: Mechanical and Electrical Engineer

We're looking for a Mechanical and Electrical Engineer at Heathrow Airport who will deliver excellent service standards, while meeting SLA agreements and adhering to maintenance schedules.

Role Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair plumbing, ventilation (AHUs, extract/intake), heating and cooling systems (thermal wheels, FCUs), and water assets (booster sets, calorifiers, water heaters).
• Deliver high-quality service, respond to client queries, and report defects.
• Complete documentation accurately and on time, including inspection reports and remedial logs.
• Support supervisor with maintenance planning on critical assets.
• Perform manual tasks including working at heights and in confined spaces.
• Participate in On-Call Rota and adhere to Health & Safety and Permit to Work procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in Maintenance/Facilities Management.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g. C&G Level 2/3 or equivalent).
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and safe systems of work.
• Valid full UK driving licence and IT literacy.
• Strong communication skills and ability to use mobile devices effectively.
