Job summary

Ornua Co-operative Limited in Leek seeks a Multi Skilled Engineer to join our engineering team at Ornua Foods UK. You will lead maintenance, drive improvements and ensure production runs with maximum efficiency, while upholding food safety and quality standards.

You will work a rotating 4-on/4-off shift pattern (7am-7pm and 7pm-7am) and contribute to coaching apprentices and operators. A strong background in FMCG/food manufacturing is essential.

Qualifications

• Trained to L3 and HNC/HND or equivalent in engineering.
• Experience with FMCG/food processing equipment.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
• Proactive, safety-conscious with good teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance activities to keep equipment in optimum condition.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance per schedule.
• Perform breakdown repairs to minimise downtime.
• Record work in maintenance management system.
• Plan corrective work with Engineering Planner.
• Guide shift operations and deputise for Shift Manager.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and safety.
• Develop Apprentices and operatives where applicable.
