Avara Foods Ltd. is seeking a proactive Maintenance Engineer for our Telford site. You will join a fast-paced FMCG factory environment, handling multi-skilled maintenance to optimise plant performance while upholding strict hygiene and safety standards.

The role operates on a rotating 4 on 4 off shift pattern (06:00-18:30 and 18:00-06:30), focusing on preventive maintenance, breakdown response, and continuous improvement across machinery and control systems.

Formación

• Advanced Engineering Apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical disciplines.
• Solid engineering experience, ideally within food manufacturing.
• Familiarity with process machinery and fault finding.
• Mechanical fitting skills; welding and fabrication experience advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Lead breakdowns within the team using your skills and experience.
• Carry out maintenance in line with PPM schedules and take effective corrective action.
• Provide quick, effective responses to breakdowns across site; identify root causes and suggest improvements.
• Communicate unscheduled breakdowns to the Engineering Shift Manager and work with operations to minimise downtime.
• Follow engineering standards and hygiene practices for the department and site.
• Ensure activities comply with Health and Safety guidelines and flag improvements.
