Job summary

Argon Engineering Limited in Wrexham is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a busy food manufacturing operation. You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance on automated production equipment and contribute to reliability and efficiency.

The role requires an electrical bias, apprentice training, and experience in FMCG environments. You will work 4 on, 4 off days and nights, with 12-hour shifts, and join a large engineering team.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained or qualified in Electrical, Mechanical or Multi-Skilled Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on production equipment.
• Fault-find on PLC-controlled and automated machinery.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise production downtime.
• Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives.
• Work with production teams to ensure machinery operates efficiently.
• Identify recurring faults and contribute to long-term solutions.
