Job summary

Ornua Foods UK, Leek, is seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer to join our engineering team on a 4 on/4 off shift pattern (7am–7pm and 7pm–7am). Based at our state-of-the-art facility in the Staffordshire Moorlands, you will ensure high equipment availability, drive continuous improvement, and mentor apprentices as part of a growing FMCG operation.

Qualifications

• Trained to Level 3 engineering with HNC/HND or equivalent.
• Experience with FMCG/food production lines.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostics ability.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Continuous Improvement and Lean experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance to keep equipment available and reliable.
• Complete planned preventive maintenance tasks per schedule.
• Perform breakdown repairs to minimize downtime.
• Record work and time in maintenance system.
• Collaborate with Planner and Stores to plan work orders.
• Lead day-to-day shift operations and deputise for the manager.
• Maintain hygiene and safety standards across the site.
• Develop engineering apprentices and operatives.
