Job summary

3R Consulting Ltd is seeking an engineer for Chester with a background in plant and services maintenance on a food manufacturing site. You will install, test, maintain, and repair equipment, coordinate with contractors, and perform preventative maintenance to keep production running efficiently.

The role requires a solid apprenticeship, at least 5 years of experience, and familiarity with ISO, SAP and HACCP standards. You will follow 4-on/4-off shift patterns and contribute to site improvements.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained with a minimum of 5 years' experience; ideally with an HNC/HND.
• Experience in a food manufacturing or similarly demanding environment is beneficial.
• Proven experience with planned maintenance, breakdowns, installations and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, maintain and repair plant, services and buildings on site.
• Assist external contractors as needed.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance in line with site procedures.
• Maintain housekeeping in workshops, stores and plant rooms.
• Coordinate with Production to maximise performance and efficiency of runs.
• Comply with ISO, SAP and HACCP procedures; work safely and tidy.
• Escalate serious issues to Engineering Manager immediately.
• Support site improvements and personal development opportunities with Engineering Manager.
• Work on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern.
