Job summary

MacGregor Black are partnering with a leading FMCG manufacturer to recruit a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join their established Engineering team. Working within a busy production environment, you'll be responsible for maintaining processing lines, production equipment, hacking lines and packing machinery, ensuring maximum plant availability and minimising downtime.

You will have experience as a Multi-Skilled Engineer in FMCG, strong fault-finding skills across mechanical and electrical

Qualifications

• Experience as a multi-skilled engineer in FMCG or fast-paced production environments.
• Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience with planned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance.
• Apprenticeship, NVQ, HNC or equivalent recognised engineering qualification.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive and reactive maintenance.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults.
• Maintain and support processing lines, production lines, hacking lines and packing machinery.
• Fault find across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives.
• Assist with machinery installations, upgrades and improvement projects.
• Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to minimise downtime.
• Ensure all engineering work meets Health & Safety, Quality and Food Safety standards.

Working within a busy production environment, you'll be responsible for maintaining processing lines, production equipment, hacking lines and packing machinery, ensuring maximum plant availability and minimising downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults.
• Maintain and support processing lines, production lines, hacking lines and packing machinery.

What We're Looking For

• Experience as a Multi-Skilled Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Shift Engineer or Engineering Technician.
• Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, processing, packaging or another fast-paced production environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience with PPM and reactive maintenance.
• PLC, pneumatic and hydraulic experience would be advantageous.
• Recognised engineering qualification such as an apprenticeship, NVQ, HNC or equivalent.
• A proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement.
