Job summary

Moorland Recruitment is seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer for a site-based, shift role in a busy manufacturing environment. The role covers mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems, with responsibilities to maintain equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and support continuous improvement across the site.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance within manufacturing environments.
• Hands-on mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience with planned preventative maintenance and breakdowns.
• Knowledge of production equipment, controls and PLCs.
• A recognised engineering qualification or time-served apprenticeship.

Site Based | Manufacturing | Shift Role - double days

We're recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business, supporting a busy production environment.

This is a varied, hands-on engineering role covering mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems, with responsibility for maintaining equipment reliability, reducing downtime and supporting continuous improvement across the site.

The Role

• Planned preventative maintenance across production equipment
• Mechanical and electrical fault finding
• Responding to breakdowns and minimising production downtime
• Root cause analysis and reliability improvements
• Supporting PLC and control-related faults
• Installation and commissioning of new equipment
• Continuous improvement and equipment modification projects
• Working closely with production and engineering teams

About You

• Previous multi-skilled maintenance experience within manufacturing
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
• PPM and breakdown experience
• Knowledge of production equipment, controls and PLCs
• A recognised engineering qualification or time-served apprenticeship

Food, drink or wider FMCG manufacturing experience would be advantageous but isn't essential.

This is a site-based shift position, with some flexibility required around weekends and bank holidays depending on production requirements
