Job summary

MacGregor Black are partnering with a leading FMCG manufacturing business to recruit a Multi Skilled Engineer on a permanent, full-time basis. This hands-on role provides electrical and mechanical support across a high-volume site, with a focus on planned and reactive maintenance, reliability and continuous improvement.

You will work with Maintenance and Production teams to keep the site running efficiently, responding to breakdowns, completing PPMs and identifying opportunities to improve

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or equivalent engineering qualification.
• Experience in multi-skilled maintenance in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding and maintenance skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance across the site.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
• Respond to breakdowns, fault-find and complete permanent repairs.
• Identify potential equipment failures through proactive maintenance and inspections.
• Support Production to minimise downtime and improve OEE.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and engineering projects.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using the site's CMMS.
• Work safely and comply with EHSQ policies.

Are you an experienced Multi Skilled Engineer with strong electrical and mechanical skills?

Are you looking for a hands-on engineering role within a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment?

MacGregor Black are partnering with a leading FMCG manufacturing business to recruit a Multi Skilled Engineer on a permanent, full-time basis.

This is a hands-on engineering role working within a high-volume, 24/7 manufacturing environment, providing electrical and mechanical support across the site with a strong focus on planned and reactive maintenance, reliability and continuous improvement.

The Role

You'll work closely with the Maintenance and Production teams to keep the site running efficiently, responding to breakdowns, completing PPMs and identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance support across the site.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
• Respond to breakdowns, fault-find and complete permanent repairs.
• Identify potential equipment failures through proactive maintenance and plant inspections.
• Support Production to minimise downtime and improve OEE.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and engineering projects.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using the site's CMMS.
• Work safely and ensure all activities comply with relevant EHSQ policies and procedures.
• Support the wider Engineering and Maintenance team when required.

What We're Looking For

• Apprentice-trained Engineer with a relevant engineering qualification.
• Proven experience in a Multi Skilled, Maintenance or Engineering role.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding and maintenance skills.
• Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Good understanding of industrial machinery, controls and PLCs.
• Experience within FMCG, food, beverage or process manufacturing would be advantageous.
• CMMS/SAP experience would be beneficial.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider engineering team.
