Job summary

ETS Consulting Ltd is seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer for a Hull site on a continental shift pattern. The role covers electrical maintenance, PLC systems, pneumatics, hydraulics and TPM/PPM activities to maximise machine efficiency.

You will be apprentice trained in electrical engineering, able to work on own initiative, with experience in heavy process automation and a willingness to develop into a supervisory role in the future.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering background required.
• Time served engineer with PLC and automation experience.
• Experience with PPM/TPM in heavy process environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair day-to-day electrical and mechanical systems.
• Maximise machine efficiency and drive improvement projects.
• Work on pneumatics, hydraulics and materials handling equipment.

Location: Hull

Salary: £48,000 + Pension + Overtime

Shifts 12hr shifts (4 on 4 off - 2 days and 2 nights)

My client is one of the world's leading privately owned specialist mineral based manufacturers, who have been established over 140 years, supplying a wide range of industries. With a global market presence, the group has gone from strength to strength over the last decade to become centre of excellence within the industry they specialise in. Due to further expansion within the British market; they need to recruit an additional multi skilled engineer, at their Hull site.

The Role

The ideal candidate will come from an electrical engineering background and should be able to work on their own initiative, be a time served engineer, but have some multi-skilling and have PLC controlled automated machinery, PPM and TPM manufacturing experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards and maximising machine efficiencies. If you have worked on automated machinery, it would be advantageous. Also, able, and willing to work on pneumatics, hydraulics, materials handling machinery, gearboxes, pumps, general mechanical work, and other heavy manufacturing machinery. There is a huge amount of development on offer, so the successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably, with the possibility of taking on a supervisory role in the future.
