Job summary

WH Scott Group in London and the South East is seeking multi-skilled engineers to breakdowns, service, test and commission overhead gantry cranes and lifting equipment. You will also support the installation of lifting equipment for a variety of customers across the South East and work with electrical and mechanical systems to ensure high quality maintenance and service.

A valid driving license and willingness to travel (25% travel) are required, with opportunities for overtime and on-call

Qualifications

• GCSE or equivalent (preferred).
• Minimum 1 year of maintenance experience (required).

About the Role

As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will:

• Attend breakdowns, perform servicing, testing, and commissioning of overhead gantry cranes and associated lifting equipment.
• Support the installation of lifting equipment for a variety of customers across the South East.
• Work with electrical and mechanical systems to ensure the highest quality of maintenance and service.

What We're Looking For

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• Proven experience in preventative maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment, including fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.
• Electrical engineering expertise with a solid understanding of three-phase control systems.
• Mechanical experience with medium to large motors, electro-mechanical brakes, and reduction gearboxes.
• Familiarity with PLCs and inverter control systems (desirable but not essential).
• A valid driving license and a willingness to travel (25% travel required).
