Job summary

WH Scott Group is seeking skilled Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers to service and maintain overhead gantry cranes and lifting equipment in the Bristol area. You will diagnose faults, perform preventative maintenance, and assist with installations while travelling to customer sites across the South East.

A strong electrical and mechanical background is essential, with PLC/inverter familiarity preferred. We offer a competitive salary starting from £35,000 per year, with enhanced paternity

Qualifications

• Proven experience in preventative maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment.
• Fault diagnosis and troubleshooting skills on complex machinery.
• Electrical engineering expertise with understanding of three-phase control systems.
• Mechanical experience with motors, brakes and reduction gearboxes.
• Familiarity with PLCs and inverter control systems (desirable).

About The Role

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will:

• Attend breakdowns, perform servicing, testing, and commissioning of overhead gantry cranes and associated lifting equipment.
• Support the installation of lifting equipment for a variety of customers across the South East.
• Work with electrical and mechanical systems to ensure the highest quality of maintenance and service.

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

• Proven experience in preventative maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment, including fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.
• Electrical engineering expertise with a solid understanding of three-phase control systems.
• Mechanical experience with medium to large motors, electro-mechanical brakes, and reduction gearboxes.
• Familiarity with PLCs and inverter control systems (desirable but not essential).
• A valid driving license and a willingness to travel (25% travel required).
