Job summary

WH Scott Group in Bristol is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to service and commission overhead gantry cranes and lifting equipment. You will attend breakdowns, perform servicing and testing, and support installation projects across the South East.

The role requires strong electrical and mechanical expertise, a driving license, and a willingness to travel about 25% of the time. The company offers a competitive salary and opportunities in a dynamic, industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Experience with preventative maintenance and fault diagnosis on industrial equipment.
• Electrical engineering knowledge including three-phase control systems.
• Mechanical experience with motors, brakes and gearboxes.
• Familiarity with PLCs and inverter control systems (desirable).
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel (25% travel).

About the Role

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will:

• Attend breakdowns, perform servicing, testing, and commissioning of overhead gantry cranes and associated lifting equipment.
• Support the installation of lifting equipment for a variety of customers across the South East.
• Work with electrical and mechanical systems to ensure the highest quality of maintenance and service.

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

• Proven experience in preventative maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment, including fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.
• Electrical engineering expertise with a solid understanding of three-phase control systems.
• Mechanical experience with medium to large motors, electro-mechanical brakes, and reduction gearboxes.
• Familiarity with PLCs and inverter control systems (desirable but not essential).
• A valid driving license and a willingness to travel (25% travel required).
