Job summary

Lancer Scott, based in Bristol, is seeking a Multi Skilled Electrical Improver to support electrical work across the UWE estate and other projects. You will assist with pre-planned maintenance, reactive repairs, and the installation and testing of electrical systems, using initiative to source parts and expert guidance as needed.

Applicants should have an NVQ Level 2 in Electrical Engineering, 3+ years in building maintenance, and a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
3+ years' experience in building maintenance (planned/reactive/remedial).
Full UK Driving Licence.
IOSH Working Safely or CSCS Card.

Responsibilities

Support pre-planned maintenance of electrical equipment and systems.
Perform reactive and remedial repairs as directed by Helpdesk.
Plan and complete works including installation and testing of electrical systems.
Source parts and obtain manufacturer technical support as needed.
Provide detailed written reports of works carried out and maintain logs.
Complete tasks within agreed timescales and comply with regulations.
Record procedures and risk assessments to minimise hazards.
Use PDAs or electronic devices to document work.
Coordinate with control hub for efficient response, solo or in a team.
Observe health and safety at all times and conduct task risk assessments.
Provide out-of-hours cover on a rota (1 in 6).
