Job summary

WH Scott Group in Bristol area is seeking highly skilled Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers to join our team. You will attend breakdowns, service, test and commission overhead gantry cranes and lifting equipment, and support installation for customers across the South East.

The role requires proven maintenance experience, electrical and mechanical expertise, familiarity with PLCs/inverter control is a bonus, and a driving license with 25% travel.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in preventative maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment.
• Electrical engineering expertise with three-phase control systems.
• Mechanical experience with motors, brakes and gearboxes.
• Familiarity with PLCs and inverter control systems is desirable.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel 25%.

About the Role

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will:

• Attend breakdowns, perform servicing, testing, and commissioning of overhead gantry cranes and associated lifting equipment.
• Support the installation of lifting equipment for a variety of customers across the South East.
• Work with electrical and mechanical systems to ensure the highest quality of maintenance and service.

What We're Looking For

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• Proven experience in preventative maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment, including fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.
• Electrical engineering expertise with a solid understanding of three-phase control systems.
• Mechanical experience with medium to large motors, electro‑mechanical brakes, and reduction gearboxes.
• Familiarity with PLCs and inverter control systems (desirable but not essential).
• A valid driving license and a willingness to travel (25% travel required).
